Watson:
Enclosed please find the receipt that was written for the $7,500.00
Certificate of Deposit from Donald Long when the C.D. was originally
received by our Division on April 21, 1982. Although this C.D. has nova
been returned, I am sending this receipt to you to complete your files.
As you are acaare, the transfers of permits and successions of operators
for the above captioned operations are now complete, and Hard Rock Paving
and Redi-Mix, Inc. is now the operator of these pits. There is, however,
one outstanding issue in this matter. The Hard Rock Buena Vista Pit,
file number 77-197, was originally to be a 112 oepration encompassing
11 acres. When the Board approved the application, it approved a 110
application for 9.8 acres (upon the request of the operator). I have
enclosed a copy of an October 7, 1980 map received from the operator's
consultant, Buck Barnhart, that outlined a 9.6 acre affected land area
(a s, I suppose, a subsection of the 9.8 acre permit area). The conversation
that I had with you indicated that the existing operation and future plans
do not really correspond to this map. Either you or the operator should
deal with this problem by submitting a modified map and legal description
(if necessary) that reflect the new, reduced, 9.8 acre permit area.
This map should be scaled (as Mr. Barnhart's was not) so that the
acreage represented can be rhecked. If the mining and reclamation plans
are also changed, these changes should also be mentioned.
