Long
Division Director
Thank you for keeping the Division informed about your plans to operate a trash transfer station in ~
the vicinity of L. Otto Gcemmer's Rocky Flat Gravel Pit, Permit No. M-82-129.
Your letter dated October 21, 1996 indicated that you are waiting for approval from our Division
before starting your trash handling operation. You do not need approval from us. The
Goemmer's can use their land a.ny way they want. We just wanted to make sure that your transfer
station remains outside of land affected by the mining operation so that it would not have nay
bearing on the reclamation financial warranty the Goemmer's will be required to maintain. I t
appears that you will locate the station outside of the permit boundary or at least on land not
previously disturbed by their mining operations. We have no further concern at this time.
We will be conducting monitoring inspections of the mining operation periodically.
Sincerely,
o~~~C/'~l~/
Larry D.
