Dt:V ~. ~~~ i~]t C'2I ii `, ~(`.•q rFc in the This letter will confirm the conference call dated December 10, 1982, regarding auger application revision to be conducted by GEC to auger the coal in the inactive mined land area. There are several tentative decisions have been reached during the call they are specifically discussed as follows: 1) The Auger Application will be limited to the in- active mined land area, which has been mined prior to January 1, 1976. 2) The Auger Application to be conducted by GEC will be a "Revision" instead of "Amendment" to GEC's existing permit. 3) This area is about erne-ctnd one half miles to the existing operation, which has been disturbed for years, no reclamation has been done at all, and if the coal is not angered as part of the immediate operation, tons of coal will be left as an uneco- nomic highwall and shall be lost forever. It would be necessary to emphasize the importance of allowing GEC Minerals, Inc. to auger and reclaim this requested area.
