The underground coal mine is near Somerset, in Gunnison Cotmiy, Colorado. <br />The proposal includes vehicular access to the drill locations through reopenhtg rehabilitated drill <br />roads, converting existing trails to temporary roads, and construction of new temporary and <br />classified roads. <br />The F,A is available for 30 days of public review and comment. We are interested to know if <br />there is an environmental effect that you thitil: was not correctly described or estimated in the <br />document. Additional information about the analysis described in the EA can be reviewed in the <br />project record at the Paonia office. <br />If you have questions about this EA or the,process of public review, please call me at the Paonia <br />Ranger District Office at 970-527-4131. Rick Cables, the Rocky Mountain Regional Foreseer is the <br />Responsible Official for this project Upon receiving public comments on the EA, the Forest <br />Service will prepare a response to comments and a decision docwnent for his signature. The <br />completed documents will be sent to everyone who submits a comment on the E.A. <br />I appreciate the time it will take you to review and comment on this complex project.
