Box 103
Delta, CO 81416
RE: MLRD Inspection Report; Delta Sand and Gravel Co.; Delta Pit No. 1;
Permit No. M-77-020.
Dear Mike;
Last week, the Division sent you a copy of our 1/9/92 inspection report
for the above cited operation. We had a few comments that, for lack of
time, we were unable to give you when the report went out. I will cover
those in this letter.
The Division will be evaluating the bond that is currently held for this
property in the coming months. We will of course be calculating what
would be required for the Division to reclaim the operation according to
the approved mining plan.
You indicated during our inspection that you planned to begin some of the
grading on the eastern side of the pit in the near future. We encourage
you to start this reclamation as soon as possible as it will reflect on
your bond recalculation.
We appreciate your cooperation during our recent inspection, and
especially appreciate your taking time to demonstrate the crushing and
screening operations. If you have any questions or need assistance,
please contact us.
Sincerely,
Harry H. Posey
Reclamation Specialist
HHP/scg
cc: Debbie Mulloy, MLRD
9904E/scg
