Box 591
Somerset, CO 81434
Dear Wendell:
NOV 12 ~
~"'qrp„ br nnNbrq~ fi CObble9Y
This letter acknowledges and accepts the 1996 coal exploration work done in
relation to the following drill holes: GG, Q, R-ALT, EE, EE Twin, II, S,
M-ALT, AA, O, BB, CC, Y, Z, E and A. Road work related to all these locations
is accepted as having complied with the appropriate conditions of approval.
Per clause F. 1, noxious weeds must be controlled on disturbed areas for a
period of one year after the liscense/permit is closed.
We appreciate the cooperative work which was done on the Dry Fork of Minnesota
Creek and Apache Rocks roads in the form of culvert installations, your
furnishing of the 300 tons of gravel which our road crew spread and the work
performed on the Deep Creek crossing. These roads should drain and dry up much
quicker now and thereby provide better access for Mountain Coal Company, the
Forest Service and the public. In addition, a reduction in sediment movement
should result.
Wendell, thanks to you and Kim and all others at Mountain Coal who were
involved in this summers efforts, for a job well done. Please extend our
thanks to Chuck and Max and the other employees of Chesnik Construction for
their hard work and commitment to getting the job done as we all wanted it
done and for helping to make rh;s a ~=f~ end ~•ic^>s~f„~ eperatio.^..
we look forward to a continued successful working relationship with you and
Mountain Coal Company.
Sincerely,
1~ J / ~~
R/lay, L.
