• •
Mr. Rick Mills - 3 - January 14, 1986
maps based on 1985 aerial photography should also be included. The report
should be submitted by the end of February, 1986. As with the annual
hydrology report, we request that a minor revision be submitted specifying a
deadline for future report submittals.
Succession of Operators
Due to the recent corporate change, CYCC will need to apply fora permit
transfer (succession of operator) for both 79-177 and C-84-062. The
applications will need to address all requirements of Rule 2.08.6. We would
expect CYCC to address this item within a month.
Non-Contemporaneous Reclamation _ r~S,7~(/ ~y~~ su~M~~`--~
We briefly discussed the status of the Area 9/10 Pit and the Area 2 Pit
reclamation. As you had indicated previously, CYCC will be requesting an
extension for completion of the Area 2 Pit. The extension request, including
a revised schedule, deadline for completion in 1986 and explanation of why the
schedule submitted in October, 1984 could not be met will need to be submitted
as a technical revision. The Technical Revision should be submitted within
two weeks. ~
You indicated that backfilling of the Area 9/10 Pit had been completed. As
you are aware, there has been some concern on our part regarding whether or t-
not the final graded surface would achieve AOC. A comparison of approved
postmine topography and surveyed postmine topography (maps and cross sections)
for Area 9/10 should be submitted within two weeks.
If you, Claire or Terrell have any questions or comments regarding this
letter, please contact Bob Liddle or myself.
Sinter ly,
~~~~
Dan Mathews
Reclamation Specialist
DM/srs
6486E
