<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />t <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br />CI <br /> <br />4.0 SUMMARY <br />A vegetation study was completed for Trinidad Basin Mining Company at <br />their Trinidad Basin Mine about 19 miles northwest of Trinidad, Colorado. <br />The study was designed in accordance with the rules and regulations of <br />the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division ICMLRDI. The study program <br />was reviewed and approved by representatives of CMLRD. <br />This study quantitatively determined the vegetation cover, herbaceous <br />production, and woody plant density for two vegetation types in the <br />permit area lsee Tables 12, 13, 14, and 151. <br />Data were compiled and examined to characterize the vegetation of the <br />site and evaluate sample adequacy. <br />A total of 182 vascular plant species were identified on the permit <br />area during 1984. No plants designated, proposed., or under review for <br />possible proposal for federal threatened or endangered status cr as <br />state species of special concern were located on the site. <br />-13- <br />
