THE SOURCE TO WHICH THIS PERMIT APPLIES IS DESCRIBED AND LOCATED AS FOLLOWS:
Surface facilities connected with underground mining /processing of coal, kriown as Cameo
Coal Mine, located in the Northeast Y. of Section 28, Township 10 South, Range 98 West,
north of Interstate Highway I-70, at Cameo, Mesa County, Colorado.
THE SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT OR ACTIVITY SUBJECT TO THIS PERMIT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
Following activities at Coal Refuse Disposal Facility, designated as Area No. 4:
Coal refuse disposal in one (only one disposal site will be active at any time) of the following
disposal sites:
Twenty-four (24) acre coal refuse disposal site, identified as Disposal Site No. 1.
Twenty-four (24) acre coal refuse disposal site, identified as
Disposal Site No. 2.
One (1) coal refuse surge pile of a maximum of 1,500 tons. This may be located
either at Disposal Site No. 1 or Disposal Site No. 2
THIS PERMIT IS GRANTED SUBJECT TO ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE COLORADO AIR
QUALITY CONTROL COMMISSION AND THE COLORADO AIR POLLUTION PREVENTION AND
CONTROL ACT C.R.S. (25-7-101 et se , TO THOSE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS INCLUDED
IN THIS DOCUMENT AND THE FOLLOWING SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDTIONS:
The particulate emission control measures Listed on the attached page (as approved by the
Division) shall be applied to the particulate emission producing sources as required by Regulation
No. 1. Section III.D.1.b.
2. The Division's approval of the conVol plan is based on the submitted production level as listed
below. Prior to any increase ih daily or annual production rates, the applicant shall submit an Air
Pollutant Emission Notice and Control Plan revision which will be subject to Division review and
approval to ensure compliance with the National Ambient Air Quality Standards for particulate
matter. Records of the actual production rate shall be maintained by the applicant and made
available to the Division for inspection upon request. (Reference: Regulation 1, III.D.1.b.)
Total coal refuse disposed shall not exceed 7,200 tons per day and 1,000,000 tons per year.
