~;
The breach of the pond during the flood of April and iViay of 1999 was repotted to
the DM & G. Additionally, right after the flood of Apnl and May, 1999, I reported
this breach to Mr. Gary Soldano of the Pueblo Office of the CDPHE. I also
provided a copy of our letter to the DM& G to Mr. Nathan Moore of the CDPHE,
Water Quality Division, Denvec, Colorado. The original copy of my report to Mr.
Moore was lost, confirmed lost by Mr. Moore, and then resubmitted.
Our intent is to operate the very best and environmentally responsible quarry in the
State of Colorado. If our understanding of CDPS' permit allowing for the discharge
of both storm and process water is inaccurate, please advise us. We are available to
meet with either the EPA or the CDPHE at your convenience. Our commitment is
to excellence.
Sincerely,
Robert P. Mangone II
Attachments
