We noted
that the information regarding the rangeland resource on National Forest
System lands 1s somewhat dated. Conditions have changed on both allotments
discussed at 2.04-8 through 2.04-15 since input for the Mine Plan was
provided. We are presently preparing an Allotment Management Plan (AMP) for
the old Minnesota Allotment which is now included in the West Elk Allotment.
The Dry Fork Allotment has an updated AMP from 1988.
If this updated information is needed, it can be made available preferably
later 1n the year when the new West Elk AMP is completed.
We have no other comments on the Mining and Reclamation Plan at this time.
Sincerely,
~1~cc:G~~C ,~i ~G~-
Ray L.
