Computer requirements to use the DBMS document imaging CD (or DVD): I. A program called QrtickView will be copied ro tbe CD and must be installed on your computer in order ro rise a DBMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase rams be in the D: drive. A DVD drive wtTl read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will comain files with the .tif extension. There needs ro be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page docuntenta. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Palm" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from hfamView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrtanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does not support of endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's reaponsbility. There ate many other prograrm that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview„ and .'imaging for Windows". Instructions. 1. Insert the CD into vow computer. 2. Allow time for the CD ro install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called tZuickView Auroruq which runs the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autoivn program does NOT work, you will need to manually install tbe QuickView program. Instructions for mawally installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minina.state.co.us. The Permit File document images eau be viewed in the reception area otthe DBMS office or they can be purchased on s t'_D or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase cost rnvers the time and labor of making the CD.
