XX. Bonding - Rules 2.05.4(2)(b) and 3
The specific findings required under this section which were made in the
July, 1987 Findings Document have not been modified by the proposed revision
and those findings remain applicable. The addition of the 60 acre lease
parcel has not increased the cost of reclaiming the site, as determined by the
Division.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
XXI. Sealing of Drill Holes and Underground Openings -
u es g an ~
The specific findings required under this section which were made in the
July, 1987 Findings Document have not been modified by the proposed revision
and those findings remain applicable.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
XXII. Subsidence - Rules 2.05.6(6) and 4.20
Information pertaining to subsidence is addressed in the original permit
application as well as revised page 2.05.6-18 of the revision application, and
the July, 1987 findings Document.
NKC has demonstrated that one structure (the Huntington Irrigation Ditch) and
one potential renewable resource area (Pine Gulch Drainage) occur in the
current permit area. Mining will not occur beneath the Pine Gulch Drainage
and thus subsidence impacts will be avoided. In order to detect any impacts
to the Huntington Ditch, the operator conducts a semi-annual survey of
subsidence monuments, as well as quarterly visual inspection for subsidence
features and quarterly ditch inspections.
Based on information and mapping submitted by NKC, the Division has determined
that no structures or renewable resource areas overlie any portion of the
revision area or adjacent area. As a result, a subsidence survey was not
required for the revision area, nor was a subsidence control plan or a revised
monitoring program. The operator will continue the subsidence monitoring
program as described above, within the original permit area.
The operation in in compliance with the requirements of this section.
XXIII. Special Categories of Mining other than AVF and Prime Farmland
Rules 2.06, 4.22, 4.23, 4.24, 4.2/ and 4.Ly
The specific findings required under this section which were made in the
July, 1987 Findings Document have not been modified by the proposed revision
and those findings remain applicable.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
-8-
