CHRONOLOGY <br />• Bowie No. 2 Mine <br />Federal Lease COC-61209 <br />Mining Plan Decision Document <br />EVENT <br />Bowie Resources LTD (BRL) submitted the permit application <br />package (PAP) under the approved Colorado State Program to the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (CO-DMG) for a <br />permit revision for the Bowie No. 2 Mine. <br />October 6, 2000 The Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement <br />(OSM) received the PAP. <br />October 23, 2000 CO-DMG determined that the PAP was administratively complete <br />for public review and comment. <br />October 27, 2000 The State Historic Preservation Office provided its comments on <br />the mining plan. <br />November I5, 2000 BRL published in the Delrn County Independent the last <br />• consecutive notice that its complete PAP was filed with CO-DMG. <br />Decctnber 14, 2000 The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service provided its final consultation <br />comments on the mining plan. <br />February 27, 2001 CO-DMG approved the PAP. <br />March 7, 2001 The Bureau of Land Management provided its findings and <br />recommendations on the approval of the mining plan, with respect <br />to the Resource Recovery and Protection Plan. <br />March 7, 2001 The Federal land management agency, Bureau of Land <br />Management, provided its final concurrence with the approval of <br />the mining plan with respect to the management of Federally <br />owned surface lands under their control. <br />March 22, 2001 The Federal land management agency, U.S. Forest Service, <br />provided its final concurrence with the approval of the mining <br />plan with respect to the management of Federally owned surface <br />lands under their control. <br />April 16, 2001 OSM's Western Regional Coordinating Center recommended to the <br />• Acting Director, OSM, that the mining plan action be approved. <br />
