The
following is an update on these items:
1. The northern boundary is not clearly marked.
The property associated with the above referenced permit is leased. The owner also owns
the property to the north and west of the mining area. The portions of the property that
we have not yet stripped for mining are used as agricultural fields.
We would like to request that you temporarily reconsider the need for maintaining
property markers on the north boundary. We had originally surveyed in the property
boundary, but the north boundary currently lies within a corn field. With the planting and
harvesting activities, it has been impossible to maintain the markers.
We most notify the property owner each spring if we anticipate disturbing any additional
fields. As mining progresses and we approach the permit limits, we will then replace the
north boundary markers.
2. Permit and compliance with the State Engineer.
We have permits for evaporative loss for this site, as well as all of the rest of our sites. A
copy of the permit is attached.
A Redland Group company ®
