A copy of this new Rule is enclosed.
Please review this Rule carefully and notify our Division concerning the
status of your operations. If the operations are in temporary cessation,
please submit a Notice of Temporary Cessation that complies with the
requirements of Rule 1.62 for each operation. The start of the five-year
temporary cessation period should be specified in the Notice and should be the
date on which the mining operation ceased. If, on the other hand, the mining
operations should not be considered to be in temporary cessation, please
outline the reasons that these operations should still be considered to be
active.
Failure to file a proper Notice of Temporary Cessation can result in
violations to your permits being found by the Mined land Reclamation Board, or
even termination of your life-of-the-mine permits for these operations.
Please respond to this letter within 30 days to avoid further Division action
on this matter.
Please call if you have questions.
Sincerely,
~~ ~.~
Mark S.
