III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ~ ~ <br />Field Notes <br />Investigator: Stephen Parsons <br />Date: March 1, 1995 <br />Topic: Tatum Citizen's Complaint-- Windmill well <br />In Attendance: Jim and Ann Tatum, Complainants <br />Randy Price, CO DMG <br />Larry Bennett, Basin Resources <br />Ralph Lopez, Basin Resources <br />Mark Sydnar, Greystone Consultant, for Basin Resources <br />Mark (?), Tatum employee <br />Several Basin Employees <br />I met with the Tatums, Randy Price, the Basin people and the Greystone consultant at <br />the Tatum home at approximately 8:45 am. The pump was prepared for installation. <br />Approximately 140 feet of plastic pipe was attached to a 220v, -13 gpm electric pump <br />(information from plate on pump). We then went to the Tatum well. <br />Mr. Tatum had removed the wooden collar and lifted the pump string on February 28, <br />1995. The pipe sections were too long separate with the equipment available. When <br />the string was lowered, it settled several inches above its original position. <br />Began pulling pump string at approximately 10:15 am using a Pettibone 25 crane <br />provided by Basin Resources. A total of 9 pipe sections were removed and <br />measured. (See Randy Price's notes for pipe lengths.) The pump at the end of the <br />string was removed at approximately 11:30 am. <br />Depth to water at 11:35 am was 112.45 feet below TOC (111.35 feet below ground) <br />Depth to well bottom was 146.2 feet below TOC. (145.1 feet below ground) <br />Broke for lunch. <br />Depth to water at 12:51 pm was 112.05 feet below TOC. (110.95 feet below ground) <br />(See Randy Price's log of pump string pipe condition.) <br />Pump was installed at 2:22 pm about 5 feet above bottom. Water level after pump <br />installation was 110.6 feet below TOC (109.5 feet below ground). <br />Pump was started at 2:23:20 pm <br />Depth to water at 2:23:50 pm was 119.5 feet below TOC. <br />1 <br />
