• ~ • <br />Further, the floodplain of Stollsteimer Creek, in the area of <br />the diversion will not be affected as a result .of the <br />relocation activities. The discussion and calculations <br />presented earlier indicate that the relocated channel is <br />adequately sized. Therefore, the combination channel, band <br />and floodplain should he adequate to pass the peak runoff for <br />]00 year 24 hour precipitation event. <br />The longitudinal profile of the existing stream channel was <br />also defined during the survey referenced above. The <br />relocated channel will follow its predecessors gradient, in <br />addition to maintaining the same length of channel. The <br />Cross-section P1ap, depicts the existing and relocated channel <br />profiles. <br />~ Stability of the relocated channel will be provided in that <br />said channel will meander in a similar fashion to the <br />existing channel as shown on the Location P~iap. Rip rap will <br />be placed along the entire length of the inside banks of the <br />channel as well as along the channel bottom. Rip rap to 15 <br />inches will he utilized along the banks and the channel <br />bottom. Further, rip rap will also be placed downstream of <br />the diversion to ensure stability o` the w~modified <br />downstream channel. The Location clap depicts the areas orhere <br />placement of rip rap will or_cur. SVell cemented sandstone <br />from the mine site will. be utilized as rip rap. <br />5 <br />
