The entire area to be spayed is on steep slopes, <br />therefore the spraying will be done, by hand with hoses or <br />backpack sprayers. ' <br />An initial application will be done by an outside contractor as <br />soon as possible and a follow up application will be made a month <br />later by mine personnel or a contractor.. During April 1991, the. <br />pile will be surveyed again to determine the extent of <br />infestation. Results of spraying this spring and summer will be' <br />evaluated to determine the methods and rates to be used next <br />spring.
