Please be advised that GVC intends to resume production at its McClane <br />Canyon Mine during December 1999. <br />GVC intends to modernize its screening and crushing facility and install a coal stacking <br />belt so crushed coal can be stockpiled and loaded into highway trucks for offsite transport. <br />GVC will provide details of the surface facilities improvements as soon as they are <br />available so the appropriate information can be incorporated into the permit. <br />Please let me know if you have any questions. <br />Sincerely, <br />~~~~-_~ <br />J.
