Squire
Mined Land Reclamation Division
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Rm. 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear Gregg:
~~~-~~''
~ EAGLEGYPSUM
July 25, 1991
In response to the questions in your letter dated July 19, 1991
regarding sediment control structures at the Eagle-Gypsum mine site
I am submitting this update.
As you noted during your recent visit, the stockpile and processing
area noted as Area "I" on the enclosed sketch "A" is currently
being utilized. A sediment control structure has been built at
the area noted as "J" on the sketch. The as-built dimensions of
the structure are shown in the cross-sectional view of the enclosed
sketches "B". The dam was constructed from on-site argillaceous
materials excavated from the basin and spillway area as was noted
on the Amendment No. 2 Application Plan.
Sediment control structures will also be built in two drainages at
the southwestern extreme of the new mine area prior to any
excavation disturbance affecting those drainages. I am currently
estimating that time frame to be early 1992. I expect the location
of these additional structures to be exactly as shown on map "F"
of the amendment No. 2 application but I will supply you with as-
built plans upon construction completion.
Please contact me if you need any further information at this time.
Yours very truly, l
~~~ ~~
,~ a~~C!~/,.lf6~
Steve Onorogskie
Mine Manager
140 Hwy b • P.O.
