It is my
understanding that the clay mine permit #2271/165 is limited to a nine (9) acre area I have
had the surveyors do preliminary work and tltey estimate the disturbed area to be nt least 1 S
acres. In addition, the rock mining lease #3038/16-5 is for rock used rip-rap, road metal,
ballast decorative rock and building stone There is not any mining permit issued jor
#3038/16-5 by the Divisions of Minerals and Geology. It is my understanding that the mining
ojthese rocks is limited to what's on the surface
I have discussed the above situation with Mr. Jim Di/le ojyour department and he
recommender! that we correspond with you directly. We feel that there are lease and mining
violations on this property. /t would be greatly appreciated if you could inspect this property
as to any violations by these parties.
I have enclosed copies of the leases jor you use. Please feel free to contact me direct/y
if you have any further questions or comments.
Enc/osures:
Sincerely,
oseph R O Tien,
ice-President
7600 South I-25 Pueblo, CO 81004 Office; 719-564-6367 Fax: 719-564-7338
