A program called QuickView will be copied ro the CD and must be installed on your computer in order ro use a DBMS imaging CD <br />the first time. Future lase of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. <br />2, The CD or DVD that you purchase ~ be in the D: drtre. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. <br />3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs ro be m image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that <br />will handle single and multi-page dacunlents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture <br />and Fax Viewer" or "Paim" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP corr>puters <br />does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with <br />QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse <br />this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as <br />"Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". <br />Inatructlona• <br />1. Insert the CD into your computer. <br />2. Allow time for the CD ro install. <br />3. Eject the CD from the computer. <br />4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. <br />5. You are ready ro view the Permit Files. <br />NOTE: A program called C2uickView Autorun, which rims the QuickView <br />setup program, has also been copied to this CD. Ifthe Autotun program <br />does NOT work, you will need ro manually install the QuickView program <br />Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request <br />with the CD or can be viewed at www.minin¢.state.co.us. <br />The Permit File document Images can be viewed in the receptlon area of the DBMS oRice or they coo be purchased on a CD or DVD. <br />The CD/DVD purchase coat covers the time and labor of making the CD.
