A program called QuickView will be copied ro the CD and must be installed on your computer in order ro use a DBMS imaging CD the first time. Future lase of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2, The CD or DVD that you purchase ~ be in the D: drtre. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs ro be m image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page dacunlents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Paim" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP corr>puters does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Inatructlona• 1. Insert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD ro install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready ro view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called C2uickView Autorun, which rims the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. Ifthe Autotun program does NOT work, you will need ro manually install the QuickView program Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minin¢.state.co.us. The Permit File document Images can be viewed in the receptlon area of the DBMS oRice or they coo be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase coat covers the time and labor of making the CD. DBMS cannot provide computer related support.
