The review is conducted every 2 and i/2 years in
fulfillment of Rules 2.08.3 and 3.02.2(4). Please review the
document carefully and respond to any requests for revisions or
other information within the allotted timeframes.
The mid-term review consists primarily of reviewing the permit
application, the findings document, field inspection reports,
recent revisions, phased bond releases, and the bonding document.
The main purpose of this review is to identify any areas of
operations or permitting that may be out of compliance with the
Colorado Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation Act.
The Division will be requesting that the mine submit a revision to
the permit to incorporate updated material that is being requested
as part of the review. This revision should also incorporate the
changes being requested in the bonding section to clarify the
current liability situation.
This revision should be submitted by no later than January 31,
1996. If you have any questions, please contact the Division.
S i~y~ ~-
Anthony J Waldron
Environmental Protection Specialist
AJW/ajw
Enclosures
