We have reviewed this request for
information, and provide the following response.
The Division currently has no unabated violations issued to Colorado Yampa Coal Company
(Eckman Park Mine #1 & #2• Mine 3), Cyprus Empire Corporation (Eagle #5 & #9 Mine), or
Twentymile Coal Compan~Foidel Creek Mine). Cyprus Orchard Valley Corporation is no longer
the operator of the Orchard Valley Mine. That mine is now known as the Bowie #1 Mine, and is
permitted now by Bowie Resources Limited. Cyprsus Orchard Val]ey Corporation does not operate
any other mines in Colorado.
Neither Colorado Yampa Coal Company, Cyprus Empire Corporation, nor Twentymile Coal
Company are under permit suspension, permit revocation, a cease and desist order, or bond
forfeiture. None of these three entities owe money for unpaid fines, fees or civil penalties.
Please contact me if I may be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
1ivZU
~~~~~
Daniel I.
