The reasons for blasting out of
the time schedule are as follows:
1. The shot could not be left unattended or
adequately safeguarded from dozers and drill.
2: The explosive power deteriorates as it sets
and absorbs water.
3. The dragline was idle waiting for this blast.
4. We loaded the holes during the afternoon but
the drill had not finished the pattern. We had to
load the remaining holes and shoot the blast in
the evening.
We notified everyone within '~ mile of the blast and proceeded in accordance with
our blasting plan. This notice should satisfy 9.08.9 (b) of Colo. Surface Coal
Mine Rules and Regulations.
Sind
Don
Supt
CC: Tom Wainwright
DZ/rk
Attached please find a copy of our blasting record for this shot.
