Box 591 Dmivon Dnecmr <br />Somerset, CO 81434 <br />RE: Hawk's Nest Mine Backfilling and Drainage Control Project <br />RN-MINES-COAL-10 <br />Dear Mr. Nyikos, <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is proceeding with <br />the final phase of reclamation at the Hawk's Nest Mine. This final <br />phase involves regrading the remaining coal material on site, <br />topsoil replacement, reseeding, sediment pond removal, channel <br />reconstruction and sealing and plugging four (4) .methane <br />degasification wells. <br />Work in this area is scheduled to begin in late September and end <br />in early November.
