-LI- <br />OPERATIONS DESCRIPTION <br />The proposed operation, as described in section 2.05 of the permit <br />application, is to surface mine the remaining outcrop barrier pillar <br />and pillar supports oC the old underground coal mines. The first pit <br />labeled "1982" on map 5 of this document, wi1.1 he to mine the Cameron <br />seam with a maximum pit depth of fifty feet. The second pit, labeled <br />"1983" will be to mine the "A" seam. During the proposed permit term of <br />five years, the anticipated acreage of disturbance is 20.1 acres. <br />The schedule of mining operations will begin with the construction of <br />the sediment ponds and diversion struc[ures. Ponds "A" and "K" as shown <br />on map 5 of this document, leave been designed in accordance with <br />Rule 4.05 by a qualified registered professional engineer.
