Jones Construch'on Services, Inc.
P.O. BOX 808, HO7Y,~YSISS CO 81419
(303)871-3114
September 22, 1995
Mr. Norm Every
Mountain Coal Co. -West Eik Mme
P.O. Box 591
Somerset CO 81434
Re: Mautz Cabin
Dear Mr.Evcry:
Please fmd the summary of the work Jones Construction Services, Inc. performed, as you requested, on the
above referenced cabin, listed below:
Jones Construction Services, Inc. started work on the cabin the morning of September 11, 1995. On this
day, we Oiled the gaps between the footer and the floor slab with vinyl concrete patching. The patchurg
material was leveled off at the top of the expansion joint, rather than even with the floor, so it would not
negate the purpose of the expansion joint by coveting over it. This was done in the Living room, Kitchen,
NE Bedroom, North Bathroom and the SE Bedroom.
On September 12, 1995, we patched the gap between the concrete slab on the East side of the cabin and the
footer with dri-mix concrete. We also re-taped the drywaIl in the South bedroom (SE comer, SW comer,
under the window and the comer between the ceiling and the East wad), the SE bedroom (SW corner, NE
comer, and the flat joints a 8' high on both the cast wall and the north wally the North Bedroom (NE
comer) and dte NE bedroom (SE corner and the flat joint at 8' high on the east wall). We patched the
existing taping in kitchen, at the cc$ing of the east wall, by the sink and in the living room aI the cer7tng of
the west wa1L The patching and re-taped joints received two coats; the tape coat and the 511 coat. We
removed, cut off and rc-installed the exterior door in the NE Bedroom, adding a new threshold under the
door (this door is severely water damaged and is falling apart). We removed the old toilet and leveled the
footer to match the floor level with vinyl concrete patch.
On September 13, 1995, we painted the patched azeas of the dtywaIl in the Kitchen, Living Room, North
Bedroom, and the South Bedroom with one color and the NE Bedroom and the SE Bedroom m another
color. We installed toIlet in the north bathroom, including a new wax ring and tor7et seat. We adjusted the
atterior door jambs to allow the doors to operate correctly. None of the doors needed to be removed or cut
off. We only had to take a Dt4 and a hammy and tap the jambs slighry to allow the door to operate, with
the exception of the SE Bedroom door, it had to be shimmed at the bottom The doors on the South
Bedroom the North Bedroom and the South Bathroom didn't need adjusting.
This completed the work we were requested to do at this time. If you have other questions or don't full
understand the summary, please call us.
