Minerals & Geology FEg
1313 Sherman St. 22 1994
Denver CO 80203 ~!p(c~`~~n
bu„~r,`
Dear Mr. Routten: ~~~~L.~`,,
The agreement that the Division signed for the West Pit said that the
diversion would be engineered to professional standards. As you know,
the diversion has not been engineered accurately.
The agreement also stateed that the Division had determined that $18,500
was sufficient to complete the Harrison Western obligations in the West
Pit. Your Feb. 10th letter confirms that the Division cannot compete
the reclamation for $18,500.
However, you are incorrect that there is $18,500 left to complete the
diversion. The total $18,500 was the amount to do all of the Harrison
Western work in the West Pit. You have already spent $4000 for gulley
repair, and you only have $14,500 left to clean out the pond, remove the
culvert, and construct the diversions.
My Jan. 25th letter said that we were not interested in trying to get
the Division to send a corrected letter to the Board. We did not say
that we did not want to proceed with the revised West Pit plans.
Sincerely,
W.D. Corley,
President
