Commitments with the following exceptions: <br />1. Transect length for Coverage and Diversity data collection needs to agree with the Edna permit <br />(page 4.4-23) commitment of 100 M long. <br />2. The appropriate adequacy formula needs to be applied to the data as defined in the Division's <br />"Guideline Regarding Selected Coal Mine Bond Release Issues" (April 18, 1995, pages 20 and 21). <br />If the data shows that the sampled pazameter is less than the reclamation standard, please use the <br />adequacy formula shown on page 20 of the referenced guideline. If the reclaimed area sample data <br />equals or exceeds the reclamation success standazd, the adequacy formula shown on page 21 of the <br />reference guideline is applicable. <br />3. Sub-shrub species should not be included in the stem counts for Woody Stem Density <br />reclamation success determinations. <br />The Division appreciates the submission of the reclamation success sampling proposal for review <br />prior to data collection. Please apprise the Division of the timing of the sampling. The Division <br />attempts to observe the state of the mine and vegetation concunent with the sampling program, and <br />if possible, meet the sampling crew on site.
