This plan is based on our mutual site inspection on August
4, 1999.
• Burning: Both species of weeds have flowered and are currently temporarily
dormant, or "senescent". Herbicide applications at this time will have little or no
effect. Because you plan to remove this overburden soon, I would recommend
burning the stands to kill the current seed crop.
• Minitoring the soil stockpiles: Soil stockpiles should be monitored each fall and
spring for emergence cf seedlings er "rossettes". Herbicide applications of C~~rtai! or
Tordon should be made at these times.
• Equipment cleaning: Any equipment that operates in this pit should be thoroughly
cleaned with a high pressure hose before leaving the property. If on site cleaning is
not possible, the equipment should be taken to a site that can be monitored and
cleaned there.
Please feel free to call if you have any questions or need further assistance.
Sincerely,
~~~
Webb Callicutt
