The anlayais is a result of stipulation 3 within our approved <br />mining and reclamation permit. Each January, Trapper Mine must submit to the <br />Division an overburden swell factor analysis. The purpose of the study is to <br />verify the 25X swell factor proposed in our permit. In addition, I have <br />included a series of documents that show how the original value for overburden <br />swell was calculated using struck bucket size. <br />A comparison of the values calculated by each technique, i.e. struck bucket <br />size and cross sections, shows agreement. The swell factor according to struck <br />bucket size !s 25.6X. When based on cross sections, a factor of 24.6X was <br />obtained. Therefore, we believe the 25X swell factor proposed within our permit <br />is correct.
