EXHIBIT "E" -RECLAMATION PLAN (Technical Revision 6-20-85, Page 9)
sedimentation.
The water that collects in the mined area will be allowed to drain at a .OS% grade
from the back wall towards the north an west a ges of the terrace. Presently, please
note that the elevation of Highway 115 is 5, 325 ft. ; the elevation at 2 ( 1 is 5, 258 ft.
11~ 1 Z
and the Section Corner elevation at the base of the terrace is 5, 258 ft. (See Map in
Exhibit "C'~. Therefore, the majority of the water runs to the north and east side at
\Q the top of the terra`tc,e~{and runs through five water channels down to the irrigation canal.
~/ 1~'~Y - - `Q ,.~csc''~;~+-~ i,.. ~...~d ofi,a,.-.:. r4, sty.-,.~ w ?-U~ ? \
The operator will cut these channels to a depth of three ft. lined with rock and compact
~~ the sides to prevent erosion and sedimentation at a slope of 2 1/2:1, as outlined in
s~ blue on drawing "B". This will allow the water to drain through the irrigation ditch. i
~+ The operator will also plane rip-rap along the head of these channels to prevent
`~ ~ j:
(~
~°~~p erosion and sedimentation. A ;
',,y d' The operator will place a 3 ft. overburden and concrete berm along the top of
~'D ~t .
the mesa and thus allow the water to run through only one channel as outlined. As
the mining proceeds, the operator will use the same drainage plan for the north and
west side (See map, Exhibit "C" in red) which will drain into the natural drainage Gay
.tM~~ - OFsa. /yYl6~tL G-v~cu- ~.~--- - e,c~7A,.dt ~ O
found on the west side as outlined on the map. The operator will have a buffer of
undisturbed land on the north west side and will build a berm along the edge of this
3 ft. high to stabilize the sides by channeling the runoff to the one drainage channel
for runoff (See map, Exhibit "C"), as previously outlined.
~~~~ ~ A quick-cover seed mixture of sweet clover (lj2 lb. Jac re) and perennial rye
~3 lbs. /acre) will be hand seeded to guard against erosion, with the Reclamation
Plan Seed mixture specifications being followed when final reclamation is initiated.
This completes the drainage system set-up.
