Water flowing from the settling ponds will eventually enter the Arkansas River. The <br />settling ponds are quite small and obviously inadequato to prevent polluted water from entering <br />the stream channel. (liven the faot that polluted water was being discharged when it was not <br />i'sining, it follows that the release of polluted water into the scream channel would be more of a <br />problem during wet weather. <br />It appears to me that soma action should be taken by the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology to ensure that the above water pollution problem is stopped. T'ftaztk you for your <br />attention to this matter and do sot hesitate to contact ma if needed.
