BANTA, Director
DATE: November 21, 1989
T0: Carl Mount
FROM: Tim King G/~
RE: Seneca II Topsoil Volumes, C-80-005
Today I calculated volumes for topsoil stockpiles T and X at the Seneca II
Mine. Using data and observations from Carl Mount's field book, I
reconstructed each cross section to scale, recreating the actual shape of the
entire pile.
The calculations came out as follows:
Peabody's My
Calculations Calculations % Difference
Topsoil Stockpile T 19.36 acre feet 22.35 acre feet + 13%
Topsoil Stockpile X 36.42 acre feet 32.44 acre feet - 11%
Please note that all calculation pages have been given to Carl Idount and will
be found in his files for the Seneca II Mine.
1615E/scg
215 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 Tel.
