Gunnison No. 1 Mine are submitted to you in response to CLMRD Stipulation 4. Stipulation 4 was part of the permit granted by CLMRD earlier this year for the Mt. Gunnison No. 1 Mine near Somerset, Colorado. The permit was issued pursuant to the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. We would appreciate receiving a letter from you acknowledging that our response fully satisfies CLMRD's requirements for fulfilling Stipulation 4. When we receive your favorable acknowledgement, the pages will replace pages 2-253a through 2- 253c (revised in February, 1981) in the current Mt. Gunnison permit .application. The enclosed Exhibit 2.8.I.V will replace Exhibit 2.S.l.V, also in the current perrnit application. The furnishing of this material does not constitute an admission that the same is required by law nor does Atlantic Richfield Company hereby admit that its permit application or the permit granted for its Mt.
