In addition, although no trains passed
on the U.P. tracks across US 85 during the time these Db
measures were taken, on previous visits t~ the site vibration
and noise from passing trains was very noticeab3e..
• ,
The results on June 18, 1981 were:
Location Ambient Db Source and Amount in
• Noise Level Excess of Ambient Db Levels
132nd and US B5 50-55 US 85 traffic - 65-BS
132nd and Nome 55-65 US 85 traffic and air-
s craft - 65-85
• Nome and South 50-55 US 85 traffic and air-
Property Line craft - 65-80'
Nome - 200' West 5.0-55 Nome traffic - 85
of crusher Crusher - 72
Loader - 75
• US 85 traffic - 75-80
Thus the proposed operation will not increase beyond what is oc-
curring naturally since the levels of the uses it is replacing
(loader and crusher) is the same or less than is occurring from
• traffic and aircraft
generation.
•
•
•
•
