Lamm
Governor
May 21, 1985
Mr. Kenneth 8. Jorgensen
Columbine Industrial, Inc.
3301 Drennan Road
Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910
Dear Mr. Jorgensen:
Your support and conditional support letter for the Transit Mix Concrete
Company's, a.k.a. Daniel's Sand Company, and Castle Concrete Company's,
respectively, amendments was received by the Division on May T6, 1985.
A copy of this letter was transmitted to Mark A. Heffner, the consultant for
both companies, and Mr. G. Scott Briggs, the attorney representing both
companies. It was suggested that the issue be resolved between the affected
parties.
As the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act does not address air quality
standards, i.e., dust generation affiliated with mineral mining operations,
this matter would have no influence on the Board's consideration of the
amendment.
Thank you for your concern and interest in maintaining the State's
environmental integrity.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Camille M.
