Sunbelt Mining Company, Inc., will manage these operations
for Pue61o Coal, Inc.
Site preparation work and materials obtainment are currently progressing.
However, seed of Utah sweetvetch (Hedysarum utahense) is available, at
this time, only in a pod form and not as caryopsis. This would make proper
seed distribution of a drilled mix difficult.
A substitution for Utah sweetvetch is proposed by doubling the amount of
Cicer milkvetch (Astragalus cicer). Modifications to seed mixes for
Grazing/Wildlife Habitat and Topdressing Stabilization, Section
2.05.4(2)(e)(iii), Tables S-7, and Rule 2.05.3(5) of the response to the
preliminary adequacy review, respectively, of the Carbon Junction Mine
permit application, are presented in Tables 1 and 2.
Time remaining to conduct seeding operations this fall is limited. Con-
sequently, ordering of seed and the subsequent field activities are being
initiated.
Sincerely,
1~
ohn A.
