I
believe that this document will provide you and your students with the appropriate history and
water quality issues relevant to the site. Some minor changes have occurred to the water
treatment system since the 1993 issuance of this document. We can discuss these changes prior
to or during the site visit.
As I mentioned during our conversation, the mine is operated by Minrec, Inc. Jim Stover is the
mine contact, and can be reached at (970)245-4101. Mr. Stover and the current land owner will
need to be contacted for permission to allow the students to enter the site.
Please call me to arrange a date and time for the site visit. I can be reached at (303)866-4936. I
look forwazd meeting you and your students to discuss the environmental issues at the North
Thompson Creek Mine. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
Sincfely,
> o
~~~ S ~~~-
Erica S.
