Attached is an updated map showing where mining
has occurred in the B-seam. Please note that your building, currently under construction at the
head of Lone Pine Gulch, appears to overlie the 5th or 6th Northwest longwall panels (the 5th
and 6th longwall panels from the right on the map), but needs to be confirmed by survey. MCC
currently projects that retreat (longwall) mining of the 5th Northwest panel in this area b}' the end
of November, 1994.
Although h4CC does not believe that subsidence (or lowering of the ground surface) will affect
the building, MCC would like to conduct apre-mining survey of the building. This survey will
include mapping of the exact topographical Location, elevations of various points on and near the
building and an evaluation of current condition of the building. In this way MCC can ensure that
impacts to the building from mining, if any, can be identified. We would like to conduct this
survey at least once before the end of October and then again after mining has passed under the
area. As MCC does not know what your completion and occupancy schedules are for the
building, please let me know what dates would be open for the surveys during October through
December. Additional surveys may be scheduled next year, as necessar}~.
Please feel free to call me or Phil Schmidt with dates that surveys could be scheduled or should
you have questions.
Sincerely,
~~~~
- Kathleen G.
