The face of the cut was 400 linear feet <br />and the bench was 100 feet wide. Mr. Mueller estimated each cut <br />was 1.0 acre in size. <br />Colorado Refractories Corp. was responsible for establishing 2 clay <br />stockpiles near the site entrance. A large 9000 ton clay stockpile <br />has been on site since 1966-1989. A smaller 800 ton clay stockpile <br />to the south was also created by Colorado Refractories Corp. prior <br />to 1990.
