GEP I. O~ NAiI.'AAL ik5C7:CES
In your inspection report dated February 1, 1983 of our Seneca II Mine, you
specified the following:
83-1 A reclamation time table for the area south of the Wadge
Impoundment near coordinates 21,0005 and 10,500E and the area
south of the Lennox pit, coordinates 26,0005 and 12,500E must
be sent to the Division by February 25, 1983.
Attached please find five (5) copies of the Reclamation Plan Map, Exhibit
"13-2" revised February 25, 1983.
The first area mentioned (21,0005; 10,500E) will be reclaimed as shown by
the 1982-1983 block. Although specific dates cannot be given for backfilling,
grading, topsoiling, and seeding due to equipment availability, all phases
will be complete by November. 1983.
Reclamation of the second area (26,0005; 12,500E) will be delayed somewhat
from our original estimate. As shown on the Reclamation Plan Map, Exhibit
"13-2" dated July 14, 1982, this area was proposed to be reclaimed in 1984.
As I'm sure you're aware, we are now proposing to submit a revision to our
mine plan requesting CMLR's approval to permit us to auger mine this area.
The timing is such that much of the southern end can still be reclaimed in
1984 but a buffer zone must be left between the reclamation and the auger
mining operation. So as not to let our active dragline pit areas fall behind
in backfilling and grading, the auger area must be backfilled in conjunction
with our other two active mining areas. Therefore the reclamation dozers (when
operating) will be spread over three areas. Based on this, it is our estimate
that the auger pit will not be completely reclaimed until 1985.
