This measure <br />will minimize the loss of perches and nesting trees for raptors, <br />insectivorous birds and cavity nesters. <br />1l. F.eclamation efforts in all areas will be monitored periodically <br />to determine their adequacy in terms of both plant density and <br />species composition, If ~;ildlife activity should prove to be an <br />undue hindrance to revegetation, fencing or other appropriate <br />measures will be required until vegetation becomes established. <br />12. After initial construction is corpleted, activities other than <br />on the mine site itself and major access roads will be limited <br />to the period from sunrise to sunset between December 1 and <br />April 15 except for emergency situations. <br />13, If the loss of available foraoe (as measured by DOW and BLM) <br />exceeds 10 percent, the applicant (CWI) will be required to carry <br />out vegetative treatment (or contribute funds) to increase forage <br />on public lands within the critical winter ranye area. <br />14. Public use of access roads and trails will be prohibited when big <br />sane are concentrated in the winter (December 1 to kpril i6). <br />15. CW1 will follow the list of plant species and seeding rates to be <br />used during site rehabilitation as submitted by letter dated <br />5/17/78. <br />16.
