The plant has temporarily ceased production. All <br />coal washing activities were suspended in March 6, 1995. Basin <br />Resources is currently in the process of attempting to sell the <br />mine and associated facilities. At this time, there are no <br />definite plans for resumption of mining. <br />During the temporary cessation, all monitoring will continue <br />as per the approved permit until revised through the normal permit <br />revision process. There will only be limited reclamation <br />activities during the cessation. These activities will, include <br />drill site and refuse outslope reclamation. <br />At this time there has been approximately 1470 acres of mined <br />area at the Golden Eagle Mine.
