Box 2905 MINERALS & vEu~";;Y <br />Durango, Colorado 81302 <br />Dear Mr. Helmin: <br />The Assistant Secretary, Land and Minerals *?anagement, <br />Department of the Interior, approved on July 22, 1992, the <br />King Coal Mine mining plan for Federal lease COC-49465. <br />The mining plan approval authorized mining of about 1 <br />million tons of Federal coal in 193 acres of Federal lease <br />COC-49465. Approval of this mining plan supplements the <br />King Coal Mine mining plan for Federal leases P-058300 and <br />C-29125 approved on May 20, 1982. <br />Mining operations must be conducted in accordance with both <br />the Colorado State permit and the approved mining plan. I <br />have enclosed a copy of the mining plan approval document. <br />Please read the terms and conditions of the mining plan <br />approval document carefully.
