A copy of the signed lease will be forwazded to the SEO when it is received. <br />The Loveland Wastewater Treatment Plant is the point of replacement and lies approximately 8 <br />miles from the Loveland Pit site. Transit losses aze assumed to be 2% based on 0.25% per mile <br />and will add 0.1 acre-feet of replacement requirements. The total replacements required for the <br />Loveland Pit site will be 4.1 acre-feet (Table 3). This lease will make adequate replacements for <br />the mining operation (Table 3). <br />Water Commissioner Don Brazelton was also contacted, and he gave his consent to using this <br />replacement source for the Loveland Pit. <br />OPERATION OF PLAN <br />This substitute water supply plan was developed under projected operations for the Loveland Pit. <br />The actual depletions from exposed water surface areas and aggregate production could vary <br />from the numbers used in the formulation of this plan. Lafazge will utilize the "Monthly <br />Accounting Form" found in Appendix C to calculate and report the actual depletions on a <br />monthly basis at the Loveland Pit. The accounting form will be made available upon request. <br />WELLS WITHIN 600 FEET <br />Water Commissioner Don Brazelton visited the Loveland Pit site on Febmary 2, 2000. He <br />determined there were five wells within 600 feet of the future pit boundary. Two of these wells <br />aze registered with the SEO. One lazge capacity and two small capacity unregistered wells were <br />located to the north of the site. Figure 3 is a location map showing these wells and is included in <br />Appendix D. <br />Other wells neaz the future pit are owned or controlled by the property owner who leases the site <br />to the applicant. <br />The 600-foot waivers will be forwarded to the State Engineers Office with the well permit <br />application for the gravel pit. <br />CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br />• The annual consumptive use due to the mining operation is 4.0 acre-feet. <br />• A lease from the City of Loveland will provide adequate water to replace all <br />depletions associated with the mining operation. <br />• The applicant will use the attached accounting form to keep monthly records of water <br />Page 4 <br />
