Monitoring for TR-14 ended after the 2002
season. This was one more year than was required by TR-14.
The only other variation from pre-bulkhead monitoring results observed during the TR-14 monitoring
period was site M-1 (Mogul). This site was addressed through Amendment No.4 to the Consent Decree.
SGC believes it has minimized impact to the hydrologic balance, satisfied the terms of the Consent
Decree with WQCD-CDPHE and TR-14 with the DMG. Please advise me if these answers do not
adequately address the questions presented in the October 5, 2004 letter.
October 12, 2004 Letter
In summary, the October 12, 20041etter requests SGC to address the hydrologic implications of
Mr. Fearn's indication direct discharge to Cement Creek after lime addition may be necessary and
his plan to construct facilities within SGC's permit area.
The questions presented in this letter were based on conversations between Mr. Fearn and the DMG
indicating how GKMC may respond to their eviction from the sedimentation ponds. The potential actions
this letter requests answers for did not occur and are basicly addressed in Items R and IV of the October 5,
20041etter above.
Please contact me if you have any questions or wish to discuss these responses.
CC: Wally Erickson
Sincerely,
~.~~ P--e-~~
Larry Perino
Reclamation Manager
4
