SNELTON, Dlreetor
February 17, 1987
Mr. Richard Mills
Senior En vironmentaT Engineer
Twentymile Coal Company
P.O. Box 897
29515 Routt County Road No. 27
Oak Creek, Colorado 80467
Re: Foidel Creek Stipulation Response No. 16, C-82-056
Dear Mr. Mills:
During a phone conversation on February 12, 1987, we agreed to extend the
period for satisfying Stipulation 16 to April 15, 1987. This will allow
Twentymile Coal Company to submit the plan for proposed existing subsidence
monuments in conjunction with a revision of the mine plan. No construction of
additional subsidence monuments is planned in the interim.
There also appeared to be some concern about the preparation of maps showing
the monuments at a scale of 1" = 200'. While that scale is the Division's
preference, we cculd accept a scale which is no smaller than 1" = 500', for
the overview of the monitoring plan. Maps within the semi-annual subsidence
reports should allow the labeling of individual subsidence monuments as the
current 1" = 200' maps allow.
I hope that this is .a satisfactory resolution to your concerns about
satisfying the intent of Stipulation 16.
Sincerely,
i:~~-~%;~ ~v
Catherine W.
